Our Reading Programs are designed for students with little or no exposure to the English language.
Reading Programs
Bridge Language Center offers two different reading programs developed to meet and challenge beginning readers on their performance level.
A pretest is given to help determine whether a child will be placed into the Kindergarten and Speaking English program or the ABCs for English Learners. We do not admit students who are not ready to read in the ABCs program.
Level Placement
Bridge Language Center’s diagnostic testing is used to determine skill and concept mastery. Each student is tested before beginning to use our program.
This allows determination of skill level and concept mastery. After a student completes the testing, the appropriate curriculum is assigned that meets and challenges him at his performance level in each subject.
Individualized K-12
Bridge Language Center uses curriculum that begins with reading programs for young learners and continues through Level 12 with core subjects and courses.
However, students are not lock-stepped by level. Students may progress rapidly or take as long as necessary to master the material. Since we pursue a model-school status, our passing grade is at least 90 percent.
